Travel and Accommodation

The city of Galway is located in the west coast of Ireland. If you are flying to Ireland, the best options are Dublin, Shannon and Ireland West Airport Knock. At Dublin airport, the buses leave from outside the terminal and bring you directly to Galway city centre. There are usually 2 buses per hour during the day, and also quite a few departures at night.

For bus connections between your chosen airport and Galway, see Citylink (http://www.citylink.ie), GoBus (http://www.gobus.ie) and Bus Éireann (http://www.buseireann.ie).

There is also a wide variety of hotels, guest houses and hostels to choose from in Galway. Below we have included some suggestions for places to stay within a short distance from NUI Galway campus and/or the city centre.
